Rhodium Plated Silver (Cheté & Laroche)
Rhodium is a member of the platinum family and is a very hard metal that is whiter and more reflective than platinum. It is used as plating on various metals e.g: sterling silver, white gold, yellow gold as well as platinum. It brightens the item of jewellery and makes it more resistant to tarnish easily.
- Take off jewellery before showering and store in a dry place.
- If jewellery gets dull, it can be polished or alternatively you can have your jewellery re-rhodium plated.
IMPORTANT: If a Cheté & Laroche ring needs to be resized, it is important to remember that your ring will need to be re-rhodium plated as well. There will thus be a cost involved for the resizing as well as the new rhodium plating.
